چکیده
Background: Nonalcoholic fatty-liver disease (NAFLD) is a global health problem associated with gut dysbiosis and intestinal permeability. Broccoli natural source of bioactive phytochemicals, characterized by health-promoting properties.
Objective: This study evaluated the effect broccoli florets stalks on liver fat accumulation, inflammation, microbiome, barrier integrity.
Design: Male C57BL/6J mice (n = 32, 8-week-old) were fed high-fat high-cholesterol diet (HFCD) with/without 15% (florets or stalks) for 7 weeks. Liver damage was changes in glucose response histological biochemical parameters. Protein gene expressions related to inflammation examined. The microbiota population together genes integrity investigated.
Results: Dietary improved glycemic assessed oral tolerance test (OGTT). Histological evaluation showed no change hepatic steatosis. consumption also attenuated as revealed lower inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) serum amyloid A1 (SAA1) expression levels broccoli-supplemented groups. Gut analysis demonstrated elevated Acidifaciens reduced Mucispirillum schaedleri abundance group, whereas Proteobacteria strains increased group. remained unchanged.
Conclusion: supplementation improves tolerance, attenuates alters microbial composition, but does not affect integrity. research provides new evidence effects dietary under HFCD.

Chitin Oligosaccharide Modulates Gut Microbiota and Attenuates High-Fat-Diet-Induced Metabolic Syndrome in Mice
Gut microbiota has been proved to be an indispensable link between nutrient excess and metabolic syndrome, and chitin oligosaccharide (NACOS) has displayed therapeutic effects on multiple diseases such as cancer and gastritis. In this study, we aim to confirm whether NACOS can ameliorate high-fat diet (HFD)-induced metabolic syndrome by rebuilding the structure of the gut microbiota community. ...
متن کاملSwim Training Attenuates Inflammation and Improves Insulin Sensitivity in Mice Fed with a High-Fat Diet
Exercise could afford multiple beneficial effects on obesity-related metabolic disorders. To address this issue, C57BL/6J mice were used to investigate the effects of 13 weeks of swim training on HFD-induced obesity and related insulin resistance and inflammation. Our results show that swim training can significantly prevent HFD-induced weight gain and increase resting energy expenditure withou...
متن کاملA High-Fat High-Sucrose Diet Rapidly Alters Muscle Integrity, Inflammation and Gut Microbiota in Male Rats
The chronic low-level inflammation associated with obesity is known to deleteriously affect muscle composition. However, the manner in which obesity leads to muscle loss has not been explored in detail or in an integrated manner following a short-term metabolic challenge. In this paper, we evaluated the relationships between compromised muscle integrity, diet, systemic inflammatory mediators, a...
متن کاملLiver Fatty Acid Composition and Inflammation in Mice Fed with High-Carbohydrate Diet or High-Fat Diet
Both high-carbohydrate diet (HCD) and high-fat diet (HFD) modulate liver fat accumulation and inflammation, however, there is a lack of data on the potential contribution of carbohydrates and lipids separately. For this reason, the changes in liver fatty acid (FA) composition in male Swiss mice fed with HCD or HFD were compared, at the time points 0 (before starting the diets), and after 7, 14,...

Objective(s): The present study was aimed to evaluate the effect of methanolic fruit extract of Momordica cymbalaria (MeMC) against high-fat diet-induced obesity and diabetes in C57BL/7 mice.Materials and Methods: In the present study, six weeks old male C57BL/6 mice were divided into four groups. G-1 and G-2 served as lean control and HFD control, G-3 and G-4 received MeMC 25 and 50 mg/kg, BW ...
